As 2011 comes to an end movie makers have released the trailers for upcoming sequels due for release in 2012.

Film-maker Peter Jackson, who took several years to put the Lord of The Rings trilogy together, has worked a little faster this time and unveiled the trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

The Hobbit, which is due out in December, 2012 tells the tale of Bilbo Baggins starring Martin Freeman.

Ian McKellan makes a come-back in the movie and so does Cate Blanchett, alongside a host of new faces.

So you’ll have to wait a year to see the wretched schmiegel again.
