Have Will Smith and Jada joined splitsville?

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith would like you to quit saying they’ve called it quits.

Responding to a report claiming that the pair had decided to end their marriage, the Hollywood power couple fired back with a statement of their own.

So what did the duo have to say about it?

“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact,” the couple said in a joint statement to E! News.

The rumor mill began churning after In Touch Weekly quoted “an insider” who claimed that the Smiths had made the difficult decision to call it quits, though no explanation was given.

Then a family member who did not wish to be identified told Radar Online that the break up story was “absolutely not true,” adding “they are totally together and are not separating.”

“They’re happy and married still,” said the relative.

Smith’s son Trey, from his first marriage to Sheree Zampino agreed with that sentiment on what appears to be his official Twitter (though it is not a verified account).

“Will and Jada getting a DIVORCE ..NOT TRUE AT ALL !!” the younger Smith tweeted, before adding, “Everyone can think what they want ..even if its not true #Lame.”

Will and Jada have two children together, 13-year-old Jaden and 10-year-old Willow.

Pinkett Smith’s publicist may have inadvertently fueled speculation in a statement to Entertainment Tonight when she opted not to address the state of the couple’s marriage while at the same time dismissing a different rumor that claimed Jada had been getting cozy with Marc Anthony, her Hawthorne costar and Jennifer Lopez‘s estranged hubby.

“Everything about the Marc Anthony story is completely false, but we are not commenting on whether they are separating or not,” Tence said earlier today.

Glad they were able to get the whole thing cleared up.
