August 20, 2011 – Last night was epic wasn’t it?  So epic that you’ve waken to your mouth feeling like you’ve eaten sand, your head feels like someone is constantly hammering it with a nail, and your eye-hand coordination is simply non-existent.

Everyone has a hangover remedy, but nothing seems to work…right?  So, have you tried pickles yet? What about pickled onions?

Picked Onions vs. Hangover

Pickled onions are great hangover cures because of its fresh and sharp tastes.  One nibble and you’ll feel like a wave of freshness has come over you.  The fog clears almost immediately!

Onions have always been seen as great hangover munchies, especially deep fried onion rings.  The tart vinegar of pickled onions is a great wake up juice.  The saltiness of the snack will also restore sodium back into your body.  The sugar in the pickling juices will raise your reduced blood sugar levels from the drinking.  But most importantly, you have to drink a lot of water to ensure that your body is re-hydrated!

If you can’t find Pickled Onions at the store, try making some yourself.  Just store some peeled fresh baby onions in a container with balsamic vinegar, Italian herbs, salt, sugar and Olive Oil.  Make sure you refrigerate everything! It’s that simple.

So what’s the verdict?  Pickled onions is an all-in-one hangover remedy!  Give it a try this morning, and let us know how it goes.
