We hear you Mheshimiwa… Now as a leader we expect the next instalment where you give us proposals on how we can secure our country and its citizens.
The current situation that we find ourself could not have come at a worse time. Inaction would potentially have been even more damaging. We really on tourism and foreign investments too much to have let those cash-cows get kidnapped!
It might be hard to recover afterwards, but at least we’d have sent those who think they can do whatever they want in our land a message.
As for the zero rating of imports, that will mainly result in the death of our agriculture industry. Our farmers can not be expected to compete with products from countries that are heavily subsidised! It is just unfair! I would expect someone to have called for an investigation as to why even with years of research, our crop yield is going down year after year! I have heard of situations where maize growers had enough rain but only half of the crop had a maize at the end of the season!
All we can do right now as citizens is to pray that the policies that are being passed are actually to benefit the larger population.

The kenyan government has been sleeping, letting in people from Somalia and these circumstances are the results of lackluster security checks. However we can redeem ourselves this time round by screening the criminal elements from within us.Especially starting with Eastleigh the alshabaab centre in kenya
