Ford models: Catwalk in motion

CATWALK IN MOTION

May 16, 2011 - For the 7th time in the last decade, Ford Models New York has invited Kenya to participate in their International Search for new modelling talent.

License holder, Surazuri Casting and Consultancy Ltd and their partners, Habari Consulting and Nairobi VIP Parties are holding an open audition on Saturday, 21st of May 2011 from 10.00 am-2.00 pm at Silverbird Cinema at Westgate mall in Westlands.

To qualify, entrants must be female Kenyan residents, aged 14 to 21 years old, with a minumum height of 5’8” and a maximum hip measurement of 37”.

This is the competition that launched the Supermodel career of Ajuma Nasenyana.  Many of Kenya’s top models have also launched their successful local careers through participating in this event.



20 to 30 semi finalists will attend the finals at Silverbird, Westgate Mall at 6.00 pm on the 28th of May for the announcement of the winner.

Sponsors of the search and the event include Westgate, Silverbird Cinema, Onami Grill and Sushi Bar, Digital Productions, Suzie Beauty, Barbara Manishi Photography, Fuji Colourama, Up Magazine, Liveafricalive, Surazuri, Habari Consulting, Rhythm Entertainment and Nairobi VIP Parties.

The winner be selected by Agnes Ponarska of Ford Models New York.  The lucky young lady will get an all expenses paid trip to New York to take part in the international Ford Models Supermodel of the World finals where representatives from over 50 countries will compete for a 250,000 US$ modelling contract with the worlds most prestigious agency.
