May 4, 2011 – The 9th KISIMA Music Awards were launched at Sankara Nairobi May 3rd, 2011.  

As you may remember, the KISIMA awards has been on hiatus for some time and the organizing committee reassured that the 9th KISIMA Music Awards will continue to showcase and celebrate the music talent in the East Africa region.

Mr. Fred Simyu, Vice Chairman of KISIMA noted that this year’s Awards aimed at ensuring the best regional talent would be showcased regionally and internationally to promote the local music industry.

The KISIMA Music Awards board comprised of Mr. Paul Kukubo (Chairman), Mr. Fred Simiyu (Vice Chairman), and Professor Nicholas Kimani (Chairman of nominations & voting academy.

So how do you vote for you favourite Artist?

The public and music industry will vote for their favourite artist through SMS and online voting at www.kisimaawards.co.ke from August 2011.
