March 24, 2011 – Capital Lifestyle attended The Cheese and Wine Edition at the Sankara and here are some of the sights, scenes and scents from a very indulgent evening.

Wine pairings: Nederburg Premiere Cuvee Brut and J.C. Le Roux La Fleurette
Tasters were armed with a score card that ranked each wine and cheese, as well as their pairing based on appearance, aroma, texture, flavour, and finish/after taste.
Approximately 150 guests came out to indulge their palettes.
Tasting menu: The Greek Wedding, which featured Brown’s Halloumi and Feta cheeses paired with Nederburg Chardonnay.
Tasting menu: Amsterdam’s Delight, which featured Nederburg Baronne and Brown’s Spiced Gouda.
Tasting menu: The Soft Italians, which featured J.C. Le Roux La Fleurette paired with Brown’s Mascarpone and Ricotta cheeses.
