February 24, 2011 – British RnB heartthrob Craig David is in the country for a five day charity trek. He did  the charity trek together with other UK celebrities like actress Kara Tointon, X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary, Daily Mirror columnist Nadia Sawalha, comedian Ronni Ancona, Radio 1 DJ Scot Mills, Radio 4 presenter Peter White and TV presenter Lorraine Kelly and Singer Olly Murs.

The brave trekkers aimed at raising money for Comic Relief to help people living unimaginably tough lives in Africa and the UK so they are crossing the Kaisut Desert in the North. They covered 100km.

They are also highlighting the devastating impact of avoidable blindness from conditions such as trachoma and cataracts – both of which can be easily treated.

A documentary about the trek will be broadcast on BBC1 in the run-up to Red Nose Day on March 18. Such a good cause huh? You can sponsor their cause here.

Great job guys!
