January 13, 2011 – Kenyan clothes designer John Kaveke is a very busy man preparing designs that he will showcase at the prestigious London fashion week. Yes! You read right.
The LFW is set for February 9th and Kaveke is honored to be one of the chosen few designers to showcase his designs.
Kaveke’s designs always stand out. He mostly uses recycled fabrics, denim, suede, tie-dye cottons, leather, linen and even wool.
The designer studied fashion design in Kenya and Spain. In his time as a designer, he has been involved in different projects including the International Smirnoff fashion Awards, Mnet face of Africa, Big Brother Africa (Kenyan representative garment), National Dress design team, Sarajevo Fashion Week and Catwalk Kenya.
His style is a contemporary mix with a little bit of edge. Classic or unstructured with notes of handmade beadwork is his signature.
