Some prospective shopping anyone?

January 10, 2011 – It’s been really hot and dusty in Nairobi of late (such a bore! Esp the dust part) but I know how this can work to your advantage – ok, somehow.

Let me get you thinking ‘future’ for a bit and it all involves spoiling yourself! 🙂

When you look at it, this is probably the best time to buy yourself certain clothing items. I know light clothing (vests, light sweaters, sandals, linens, shorts and T-shirts) are flying off the shelves and mitumba stalls like hot cake at the moment and they are not cheap, but there is a better deal you can get.

This is because despite the heat we still have to look good while obeying the weather.

So, as I was saying…this is the perfect time to start shopping for the cold season. Why? Because every other person is concentrating on buying light clothes, the heavy ones are taking a back seat. Anything in the back seat is always cheaper.

Since they are not on demand, you can bag yourself something really chic without even knowing it.

I mean something that could cost you a couple of hundreds/thousands more when the cold weather checks in and the vendors decide to take full advantage of your wallet vis a vis nature.

Trenchcoats, boots, sweaters, jackets, and scarves are some of the things I’m talking about.

So now since I’ve let you in on a little secret, you know what to do! Take advantage and go shop for the future. Trust me you’ll remember this post and smile when that time comes…
