One8, Boomba Clan and Big Pin sounds

November 17, 2010 – Lots of new music to share with you today and top on the list is the video leak of ‘Hands Across the World’ the infamous One8 project.

Featuring Kenya’s Amani alongside R Kelly and six other artists from across Africa such as Fally Ipupa and Ali Kiba, the video is promising of more good things to come.

A dvd of the entire album the One8 project is involved in will be released by the end of next month.

Also due out next month is the very first album of hip hop trio Boomba Clan.

The Clan say the album titled ‘2030BC’ will be launched late December in a ‘never seen before’ type event.

The trio are well known for their songs ‘chonga viazi’ and ‘dude, do not touch my car’. Details on the event will be out in a few weeks.

“We’re still deciding on a venue and so we’ll set a date soon,” promised group member Thomas Preston.

‘Meet my parents’, ‘pika tu’ and ‘trouser’ are some of the songs that will feature in the ten track album, which is being done by Lodwar records.

Meanwhile, local hip hop artist Big Pin is not to be left behind – and is releasing his latest album in December

He has teamed up with Habib for one the album tracks SHEREKEA whose video has already been released. The video, produced by Alternative Concepts, is shot at Rafikiz.

Speaking to fans, Big Pin says the video will be followed shortly by another, titled Maria Munga.

“That is the second single of my album JATELO which comes out on November 22.”

That’s what he said but the release date has been pushed forward.
