October 25, 2010 – Reggae musician Lutan Fyah aka Anthony Martin is set for Nairobi this December, after agreeing to become part of a Kenyan initiative to save the planet through music.

In a 3-day extravaganza organised by the GreenFest campaign over New Year’s Day, the former footballer (Fyah) will join a host of Kenyan artists such as Sauti Sol (boy-band) to encourage green living, and in the meantime, entertain.

Fyah has performed severally at the mega Uppsala Reggae Festival in Sweden.

His trip is official, and so he says here: .

Meanwhile, the Nairobi chapter of the PechaKucha night takes place this weekend, under the name Nairobi#4.

The event was crafted in Tokyo seven years ago, as a forum for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.

Since then, it has spread to more than 320 cities around the world, and in Nairobi it will be held at the RaMoMa Museum of Modern Art.

“Celebrating Creativity” is the main theme for the Nairobi event, and among the celebrity bloggers, fashion designers, and jewellery crafters will be Cyrus Kabiru, whose C-Sunglasses have been the talk of the town recently. Fashion revolutionaries Stingo will also feature.
