October 11, 2010 – The Sarova Stanley has been voted overall winner in the Luxury Business Hotel category at the World Luxury Hotel Awards held on the 8th of October in Bangkok; making this the second award the hotel has received in just over 2 months.
The World Luxury Hotel Awards are accepted as the pinnacle of achievement for Luxury Hotels worldwide. This Award was established in 2006 by founder and CEO Mr. Brandon Lourens, as a celebration of ultimate achievement in the luxury hotel sector. The awards are about congratulating hotels that have taken the extra step and differentiated themselves from “good hotels” to “exceptional hotels”.
Over 1000 leading hotel brands worldwide participated in the awards and only 80 hotels, including Sarova Stanley, were recognized as being exceptional hotels offering exceptional products and services.

The World Luxury Hotel Awards accounts for all categories in the Luxury Hotel industry. Award winners set the benchmark for luxury hotels in achieving recognition for their world class facilities and service excellence.
Each year hotels are nominated by guests, travel agents/tour operators via the official awards website (www.luxuryhotelsawards.com) to participate in the prestigious World Luxury Hotel Awards. Winners and finalists in a particular year will automatically be nominated to participate in the following year. Voting is cast by a selected panel of 50 leading tour operators & travel industry consultants. The Awards are exclusively for Luxury Hotels, Lodges & Resorts and do not include any other areas of the travel industry.
Certificates and trophies are awarded to finalists/winners per category after votes have been cast each year, at the annual World Luxury Hotel Awards Gala Ceremony.
Just recently The Sarova Stanley was voted Kenya’s Leading Hotel at the 17th World Travel Awards ceremony held in South Africa.
