This year’s most romantic day of the year will land on a Sunday giving you the flexibility to wear and rock whatever you like, no holds barred.  However, there are two very important things to bear in mind before buying that special outfit for Valentine’s Day. Is your date daytime or evening? What does the weatherman forecasts for Sunday?

Day Date
On Valentine’s Day you want to look casual, flirty, sexy and exceptionally feminine. If the weather is nice and warm, step out in a short or long sundress. The dress can be all red for those who would love to stand out from the crowd or a dress of any colour and pimp it up with some red accessories. Comfort is paramount, therefore avoid wearing high heels unless you are comfortable walking in them.

Night Date
For an evening date, the word to remember is elegance. A pair of stiletto heels will add length to your legs and give you a sexy look. The heels go best with a knee-length dress or an evening gown with a front or side slit. The perfect colour for an evening date is black. It is a versatile colour that can be accessorized with red belt, lipstick, a bag and shoes.  If you are bold enough to wear a red outfit, accessorize mostly with black to break the brightness. Avoid body-revealing clothes. Best to keep him guessing.

Happy Valentine’s Day.
