Geraldine makes a teary exit from BBA

November 24, 2009 – The Nigerian trio in the Big Brother House is down to two.

GERALDINE_SOB_982753508.jpgTwo days ago Geraldine’s very teary exit marked the end of her journey to cash in on the $200,000 grand prize, which will be handed over next Sunday. And no Kenyan will win it either! Maybe next year…

Geraldine had only one nomination from housemates, but Africa chose to keep Jeremy’s girl Emma (Angola) in the Revolutionary studio house.

The Nigerian was put up for eviction by Head of House Itai, who saved himself. He was not that lucky this time round and is up for eviction against Kevin (Nigeria) and Emma (AGAIN).

Mozambique’s Lizha James kicked off the show with her high energy hit “Nita Mukuma Kwini”.

Then it was time for Itai to reveal how he had used his power as Head of House to influence the nominations. He was quick to admit that he had saved himself, but it took some coaxing to get him to reveal that he had replaced himself with Geraldine.

After another performance by Lizha James, this time featuring Mandoza on “Voodoo”, (FANTASTIC) it was time to get down to the serious business of eviction.

Back to Gerry’s tears, she said that her eviction was not unexpected.

“I knew Itai was gonna put me up – we don’t get along,” she told IK.

Getting straight to her Molotov Cocktail, which would see one housemate having to dress up in a chicken suit for the next week, Geraldine’s choice was “obviously, obviously, obviously Itai”, giving him his second successive Molotov – and fourth in total.

GERALDINE_IK_510532147.jpgAbout relationships in the house namely Kaone and Leonel, “No chance”, she said of Kaone, before telling Africa that she saw Leonel as a ‘baby’ and a friend.

“I enjoyed being around him, enjoyed his company, but he’s not my type,” she said.

According to her, Itai should be the next person to leave.

“In the beginning, I saw myself getting close to Itai but as the weeks went on, we just kept fighting and just didn’t get along,” she replied.

If given the chance to do it all again, she would have been louder and more stubborn, but still fundamentally the same person, she says.

Geraldine, who leaves with $2804 in her pocket, was evicted by a landslide, with Angola, Botswana, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, Namibia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Uganda choosing to keep Emma over her. Only Ethiopia, Mozambique, Nigeria and the Rest of Africa wanted Geraldine to stay.

Meanwhile, Itai who has had endless luck being saved week after week, says he’s not worried about the nominations and evictions, and is even ready to leave the house.

It is the first time Kevin is on the final nomination list, after being saved severally.
