NAIROBI, November 2, 2009 – David and Victoria Beckham have decided not to renew their one-year contracts with Emporio Armani underwear and Armani Jeans.
Mr Beckham reportedly wants to create his own underwear line, and if he had continued with Armani, that would have presented a conflict of underwear interest.
Victoria, on the other hand wants to focus on her own fashion and beauty lines. In fact, in early September, she was back at the New York Fashion Week to show her Victoria Beckham Collection.
There are, however, no conflicts of underwear interest in Beckham’s replacement.
Fellow soccer player 24-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, from Portugal comes on board with his sexy-enhancing accent. He plays for Spanish club Real Madrid and the national Portuguese team.
Megan Fox, who starred in the blockbuster film, Transformers will succeed Victoria Beckham as the new face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans campaigns.
Fox has already been photographed for both campaigns.
Unlike the Beckhams, Ronaldo and Fox will not appear in campaigns together.
Their billboards and print ads will begin running worldwide in January 2010.
