Mombasa may soon have its own local TV station.

Rumours have it that an MP of Arabic descent from the coast is setting up a state of the art TV station at the Mombasa trade center.

The station, which is scheduled to start functioning by 2010, has already received its shipped equipment and began recruiting possible presenters.

It is also said that the MPs son is the one in charge of running everything at the station, and if opened will be the very first station exclusive to the coastal region
