Designers reveal water-saving shower

Hong Kong-based designers D.K. & Wei have created a shower system called Arc that will save water and electricity while maintaining comfort, making for an (almost) guilt-free hot shower experience.

The Arc’s bent shape makes sure that accumulated water will be picked up from the concave shower floor, from where it will be filtered, pumped and sent up to a heater to be re-used.

In addition, its shower head was built to prevent leakage and there are also built-in splash and temperature controls that avoid energy wastage, managed through an easy-to-navigate, waterproof touch screen.

A 500W pump ensures constant circulation of the water while a 1500-2000MW heater warms up the water. D.K. & Wei’s shower system can be used in this “eco” mode but also in normal mode if the user is feeling more sumptuous.

Details on pricing and availability can be found online.

The two designers founded design brand Kootouch together, which has won awards from I.D. Magazine, Fortune Magazine, and the Philips Design Excellent Award.

Which party is to  be destroyed Hon. Minister, I thought the party was over? The little luo twig of Odm is what you are seriously calling party? Before you guys turn to decent politics, a heavy messy situation will be laying on your hands. You have to realize that every time you bad-mouth your opponent unnecessarly, you certainly chase away supporters. Every time you treat perceived opponents as enemies instead of bringing them close to you, votes disappear. Everytime pugnacious toxic tribalism is introduced in politics, promising success doors are closed forever. Every time sir you boast with borrowed popularity, you unwittingly close shop for the party. We have seen Raila himself purporting to declare himself more popular than elected leaders in Rift Valley. You remember him saying that he would deal with RV people directly? He forgot his support in RV was a borrowed item! Thats the time things went wrong for Odm and instead of cooling things down, it has become a custom to burn bridges thoughtlessly. Now that instead of pacifying Hon. Mudavadi, you are urging him to leave, the little twig you are calling party will even shrink further. In politics,  isolating and scattering in a situation of vote-hunting is never there. Am sure being a political scientist you know what I mean. You cant assemle votes when at the same time, you are hellbent on de-assembling them.

Pratt, uncalled for and unnecessary insults will neither take Kenya as country anywhere nor your preferred leader anywhere. Brother, my advice for you is to hold your horses and be civil enough to discuss real issues. Unless you are on someone’s payroll, your endeavours of pushing these tribal agenda that has flooded every little online site has no place in the modern Kenya. You will hit a rock.

You havent said a thing pal, just little things to yourself and left you believing you have given a huge opinion! Can I tell you playing with words for “nothing benefit” is even worse? Just say this or that fact is not correct, then we can take it from there. Otherwise, you seem to be saying something but is not coming out at all.
