The Green Generation Campaign: 10 million trees by 2010

On Saturday the 5th of September 2009, the Capital Team will lead interested listeners, schools, celebrities and clients in tree planting at Karura forest.

We’d also like to encourage students, teachers and parents to help recycle old newspapers by collecting as many as possible, for resale to dealers and paper companies. Recycling reduces the felling of forest trees.

Capital’s Presenters will be running an On Air campaign, informing the public of the actual environmental situation in Kenya, what needs to be done to conserve the environment and how every single person can make a difference.
