Nairobi's Undiscovered Talent Revealed!

Three Kenyan musicians have earned a chance at musical immortality by pushing through to the final of the My Video contest organised by MTV base and Zain as part of the MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain.

Julia Mumbi Thaitai, Anthony Mwangi and Robert Rajoro all qualified as finalists in the pan-African talent search which challenged amateur musicians to show off their hidden singing skills. The trio of Kenyan artists made the finals after submitting short video clips of themselves to the MTV judges at Zain centres around the country and at special My Video events. MTV and Zain received thousands of entries for the special award category, which was created in 2008 to engage young musicians in the MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain.

The three young singers now stand a chance of winning their very own ‘MAMA’ trophy and a trip to the MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain on 10 October alongside musicians such as Lira, M.I., Samini and Wahu.  Help your favourite candidate get to Nairobi by using your cellphone to vote for your favourite artist!
