The nominees for the 2009 Channel O Music Video Awards were announced at a press conference at Melrose Arch, Johannesburg yesterday. And we did not miss out in the nominations. This time Kenya is being represented by the Kenya gal power duo.
Wahu was nominated for Best Ragga Dancehall video for her hit track Sweet Luv. while Amani has been nominated in three categories, Best Female Video, Best African Artist and Video of the year for her hit track Tonight.
This year the category Most Gifted Afro-Pop Video is being reintroduced.
Winners in the Channel O Music Video Awards are chosen by the public who will be able to make their voices heard via SMS or online or through their mobile phones.
The 2009 Channel O Music Video will take place on Thursday 29 October at Carnival City in Gauteng and DStv audiences can tune into channel 320 to see their favorite artists and whether they win.
