Restructuring police include dismantling

I have watched internal security minister go hyper with vitality to reform the police and activate the changes as recommended by ransley report. the anticipated changes comes at a time when hue and cries have dominated calls on respect to human rights as prescribed in the new constitution. but i believe it not mere change of name and hierarchy structures that will be carried out and the public hoodwinked that due diligence has been made. the problem with our police force is misplaced perception, wrong attitude and disregard to rule of law. staff layoff, rationalisation and retraining is of ultimate urgency with plan to inject the force with professionals. unless we remove rogue and indisciplined officers, the reforms might be a non starter
