No election tactic ploy to create apathy

In ancient Greece, after a fruitless 10-year siege, the Greeks constructed a huge wooden horse, and hid a select force of men inside. The Greeks pretended to sail away, and the Trojans pulled the horse into their city as a victory trophy.

That night the Greek force crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army, which had sailed back under cover of night. The Greeks entered and destroyed the city of Troy, ending the war.

This horse was created to trick the residents of Troy, make them complacent, lazy, and to believe that they were winning the battle. But the Greeks used this weakness to destroy the city and make its residents their subjects.

Today, Jubilee is facing a similar experience with the Opposition team of NASA led by the father of Kenyan political trickery, Raila Odinga, leading the “Greeks”. It is all clear now that the election will be on October 26 and there is nothing outside the coalition is going to stop this.

Those talking about no elections, causing chaos and creating all manner of unachievable ‘targets’ for IEBC are playing a diabolical game to create fear and make the Jubilee Nation complacent. And this is the Trojan horse that the NASA leadership has created.

NASA leadership knows that by promising their supporters, and by extension those of Jubilee, no elections, the opposite side will relax and fail to prepare for the elections adequately. In fact, that no election call is likely to make Jubilee supporters believe that the lack of it means Uhuru Kenyatta automatically becomes president.

But since the election cannot be stopped, other than through Constitutional means, Kenyans have a date with the ballot on October 26. This means that even if Raila Odinga shouts “no election” until the Election Day, his name will still be on the ballot and he would remain eligible for presidency.

So as Jubilee supporters continue to be enticed with this likelihood of a walkover for Uhuru, NASA is working full speed ahead preparing for the election. We are being made to believe that they will not go to the election so that we can keep our eyes of the ball.

There are critical questions that Jubilee supporters must ask themselves in the ongoing trickery being executed by NASA.

How is it possible that the coalition that has applauded the Supreme Court for making a decision that favors them, the one court that nullified Uhuru’s legitimate win, will go again and completely go against their ruling? Would they not be shooting themselves in the foot by saying there would be no election within the 60 days?

Even going further, why would NASA be involved talks with the IEBC alongside Jubilee if the call for no elections were genuine? Even further, why hasn’t NASA withdrawn the fundraising pay bill number from the public if indeed October 26 was the last thing on their mind?

Why is NASA also focused on saying which organizations should or should not be involved in the elections if Raila doesn’t want an election? Why keep meeting different groupings to seeking to salvage the dwindled support?

All this does not make any sense, and that is why I believe that NASA and Raila are taking Kenyans, and especially Jubilee supporters, for a ride. It is all a trick to ensure that there is apathy in Jubilee zones to ensure that the gap is not widened, as it should be.

Law 3 in Robert Greene’s ’48 Laws of Power’ is “Conceal your intentions”. The tactic is to keep people off-balance by taking them through the wrong path long enough so that by the time they realize what is happening, it is too late.

We are being deceived fellow Kenyans. The call for no elections is just a Trojan horse aimed at ensuring that Raila wins the presidency through unconventional means.
