Former TV-anchor, CEO Arimus Media was recently noted as among Africa’s most influential people in Media. The beauty who is also known for her public speaking engagements was named alongside some of Africa’s big names including Khanyi Dhlomo,  a South African Media mogul and founder of Ndalo Media.

Other Kenyans who featured on the curated list by The New African Magazine December issue include CEO and Managing Director of Centum James Mworia. Among them was also Sophia Abdi Noor, a novice politician who made history as the first female to be elected as a Member of Parliament for Ijara Constituency. Trouncing her 4 male competitors, Noor changed the course of history for the predominantly male-led Garissa County.

Patrick P.L.O Lumumba was also named in the list in the category of civil society and activism. Expectedly, Kenyans dominated the sports category listing 3 athletes on the prestigious list.  Faith Kipyegon, Elijah Manangoi 1500meters champion and Hellen Obiri 5000m World Champion crowned out the list. According to an article on Trace TV, singer Tinashe, mega actor Idris Alba and Ugandan dance troop Triplets Ghetto Kids also featured on the list.
