Kenya’s music scene is growing fast and because of this, there are more weekly releases than ever before. In the month of May alone, there have been over 10 releases. However, only a few suit the vibe of the month that was overwhelmed with wedding madness as British royalty Prince Harry married Suits actress Meghan Markle.

As the weather gets colder, and Kenyans reach out for their lovers, here are a few soundtracks to the perfect love story released this May.

3. Le Band – Move

The track is laid on a steady track that yields to the sultry electric guitar.  Le Band have delivered yet again, almost a month since their last track “Mood” was released the awesome foursome have come out with a new track “Move.” Slow and sexy, the track is a mish-mash of genres, that primarily borrows heavily from R&B and Benga. It is definitely a great song for cuffing season.

2. Bobby Mapesa, Calvo Mistari feat. Fena – Love Me

The triad of Bobby Mapesa, Calvo Mistari and Fena Gitu have impressed with their new release “Love Me.” The track has a sense of innocence and simplicity, yet inspires that feeling of love for all who listen. With the smooth rap of Bobby Mapesa and Calvo Mistari, complete Fena Gitu’s harmonies to offer the complete love track.

1.Sauti Sol feat. Nyashinski – Short and Sweet

Sauti Sol is notorious for their range and capabilities and the same can be said of MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act Nyashinki. In this collaboration the 5 gentlemen get in touch with their romantic side. From the lyrics to the background vocals, the track is an invitation for lovers to “make the moment unforgettable.” The track is laid on beats that offer just the right tempo for lovers to sway late into the night.
