Sanaipei Tande, Ray C Collaboration Has Us Asking Questions

Former Coca-Cola pop star winner, Sanaipei Tande is known for her amazing pipes and illustrious career in radio. Now after awhile away from the stage, Sanaipei returns with a new track, a collaboration with Tanzanians Chege Chigunda and the infamous Ray C.

In the new release “Najiuliza” that translates to “I ask myself” the two female singers share on themes of infidelity, love and the difficulties of relationships. The ladies not only equally matched on their talent but also seemed to enjoy their time together shooting the video. Sanapei shared a behind the scenes look at their time during shooting.

The headlined by Chege a former member of Tanzanian powergroup TMK known for hits including “Dar Mpaka Moro”  the track has bongo and taarab influences that make for an easy listen. Raised in Mombasa, it was no stretch for Sanaipei to bring her coastal flair to the track. Ray C who was previously battling drug addiction is now back with a back, having lost 40Kgs and back in studio with another release “Unanimaliza”.

Will this song be a hit? Only time will tell, nonetheless, we think that the duo is a match made in heaven and should collaborate on more music.
