In the span of a few days, some of Hip Hop’s heavyweights have announced their return to the spotlight. Here are the top 3 artists due to make a comeback this year.
Germany-born J.Cole has already released 4 studio albums with his last release “4 Your Eyez Only” coming out in 2016. Taking to Twitter, 5-time Grammy nominee Jermaine Lamarr Cole announced his new album set to drop Friday 20th April 2018. The album is appropriately dubbed “KOD” as in King of Dreamville.

2. Nicki Minaj
The Trinidadian beauty had stepped away from the spotlight until recently. Known for her quick flow and pop culture appeal, Minaj has had great success with her last album “The Pinkprint” released in 2014. One of the highest selling artists of all time, Nicki is back with new music. Teasing her newest releases “#BarbieTingz” and “Chun-Li” Nicki is ready to upset the industry with her aggressive delivery and clever lines.

Drake continues to grow bigger every day. The Canadian-born rapper has been busy in 2018 releasing “Nice For What” in April which replaced “God’s Plan” released earlier in February, as the Billboard 100 number one. Aubrey Drake Graham has also featured in the February release “Look Alive” as well as the remix of “Lemon” with N.E.R.D. Taking to Instagram, Drizzy took to social media to confirm rumors that he was indeed dropping an album. Much to the delight of fans, Drake confirmed 20th June as the release date for his 5th studio album “Scorpion.”
