Joh Makini Ft Chidinma – Perfect Combo

Apart from being on Coke Studio Sessions, Joh Makini  has made quite a name for himself.  Collaborating with continental heavyweights like AKA from South Africa on the song “Don’t Bother” he is known to be gifted in creating intriguing lyrical flows. With at least 10,000 subscribers on Youtube, major collaborations bring to the forefront his talent and reminds the audience what he has to offer.

In a smooth RnB song, Miss Kedike aka Chidinma collaborates with the Tanzania rapper Joh Makini. Makini’s swift flow perfectly fits in with Chidinma’s smooth vocals as the beat encourages the listener to sway to the melodies. Chidinma even sings in Swahili declaring “dunia ni mitihani, jibu langu ni we”. The song speaks of love and how partners complement each other making for a better life for each other.

Harmonize- Matatizo

With collaborations with Diamond Platinumz in the song “Bado  Bado” and other releases including Aiyola, Harmonize is putting in the work to make his way in the music industry. Though some of his songs do have a similar beat; his vocal prowess is indisputable. He is a great example of the importance of great talent and progress on the ladder of success.

Singing in Swahili, Tanzanian artist Harmonize released “Matitizo”. The song speaks on the hardships of life, responsibility, illness and helplessness in the face of difficult. The song serves up Bongo flava in spades with a slow tempo that is just right for the theme of the song. The lyrics call the listener to think of the content while Harmonize’s voice beckons the listen to pay attention.  Though Harmonize is yet to make it to the big leagues, this single might just be his chance.
