JKUAT Campus Closed Indefinitely

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agricultural and Technology main campus has suspended its operations effectively.

In a circular dated 15 of November 2017 written by the University Registrar of Academic Affairs Dr. Muoria, studies for the students in session for the September-December semester has been suspended indefinitely. Muoria asked the students living in the school residence to vacate the premises.

In the circular copied to the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Principals, Deans of Schools, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Security Officer and the University Liberian; the students have been advised to wait for further communication which will be relayed in due time.

With the university’s graduation slated for Friday 17th November 2017, the news of the campus closure came as a shock to many students. The university went on to clarify the matter on Twitter, with the graduation ceremony set to go on as planned.
