Daystar University is changing guard.
Long-serving Vice Chancellor Timothy Wachira got the ax, after the administration received months of student complaints, citing misappropriation of funds. The school was also temporarily closed down after riots broke out in April 2018, making Daystar the first private university to shut down due to student unrest.

Based on tweets from the Daystar University student body’s official account, the internal audit carried out has now seen the university’s most senior staff laid off over allegations of corruption and misuse of funds. It is hoped that with fresh blood at the helm, the Christian university will restore the good name of the institution.
