There once was a time when Camp Mulla ruled the Kenyan airwaves.
The group of four teenagers brought a different sound to the Kenyan music industry that rivaled that of the Ogopa powerhouse. 2012 was their year, with a number of nominations including Channel O Music Video Awards and their BET Best International Act (Africa) nomination, it is no wonder industry executives were speculating that much more would follow. But unfortunately, the group that delivered hits such as “Party Don’t Stop” and “Fresh All Day” took a break from the limelight to work on their solo careers.
It has been about 5 years since the group performed on stage together. The foursome made up of Shappaman, Miss Karun, Taio Tripper and Kus Ma are officially back with a bang.
The group seem ready to give fans what they have been longing for announcing an album is not far from completion. The group debuted on stage at the Tekno concert at Ngong Racecourse after a long hiatus, to a great welcome from adoring fans. If the crowd’s reaction is anything to go by, the four can do no wrong.
