As one of Kenya’s most controversial names in hip-hop, Bobby Mapesa is set to launch his album on the 6th of October. The launch confirmed to occur at the Psy Mall at T-Mall, is a Mapesa’s collaborative album with “Twendeni Out” rapper Calvo Mistari.
The album, titled CB was a joint effort between the two stars. Mapesa known for his vulgar lyrics in tracks including “Bakora” and the even more popular “Naskia utam.” Mapesa has had many troubles with other artists in the Kenyan scene including Nonini. However, it may be a good combination to have the more reserved hip-hop heavyweight Mistari by his side to balance off the controversial figure Mapesa.
The duo has worked together on several songs including “Tuzidi” and “Nawapenda Wote.” As fans anticipate the new album, the tracks are currently available online via Boom Play Music. The event is set to have special appearances with King Kaka, Sauti Sol, Dan Aceda and even Kristoff.
