Bob Marley’s Grandson, Skip Marley Recognized By MTV VMAs

Skip Marley, son of Cendella Marley is an MTV VMA 2017 nominee.

The Kaplan University graduate is now making waves in the music industry, and people are paying attention. Grandson to a legend reggae star Bob Marley, many fans have lauded Skip for looking and sounding like the “Redemption Song” crooner. Sharing his excitement on social media, Skip thanked MTV for the nominations and asked fans to vote.

 

With a number of releases under his belt, he gained more attention after collaborating with pop princess Katy Perry on the track “Chained To The Rhythm”   off her latest album Witness. Because of the success of his lineage, the 21-year-old is set to keep the legacy of Bob Marley alive as the third generation of the iconic name. Releasing an EP of his own, Skip’s 2017 tracks “Calm Down” and “Lions” are already an indicator that he not only is talented but is not afraid to find his own path away from the shadow of Bob Marley.
