Davido sends a personal message to friend D’banj on his big BET night

Nigerian star Davido has won the BET Award for Best International Act.

The BET Awards that happened Sunday (24th June 2018) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. At the event was hosted by Jamie Foxx, and featured performances by Nicki Minaj, Daniel Ceaser, Migeal, Migos and even Meek Mill. The stage and the audience were lit as the performances went on to keep people entertained through the night.

Davido was announced as the winner for the Best International Act, beating out Tiwa Savage, J Hus, and even Brit Stormzy. This is not the first time he has received this award as he was awarded the same award in 2014. The Naija artist went on to give his condolences to Dbanj who lost his 13-month old baby to a drowning accident. Davido¬† said “I want to send my condolescences to my big brother Dbanj, he paved the way for us…” He went on to encourage the full house to come back to the motherland and immerse themselves in African culture. David Adedeji Adeleke also went on to call out J.Cole asking for the chance to work together stating, “let’s collaborate.”
