21 Year Old Elected As U.S House of Representatives Member

Jewell Jones a 21-year-old college student from the state of Michigan was announced as the U.S House of Representatives member for the Michigan state. The young politician is known to make great strides being elected to the Inker City Council member at 20. The newly elected  leader shared his sentiments on his new responsibilities via Facebook.

The young African American won the election by 66% of the votes, leading him well on his way to a prosperous political career. According to Michigan Journal, Jones ran against his opponent Robert Pope of Garden City.

Leading by example, this millennial is making history with his election. Jones is double majoring in political science and finance at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He is a member of the Black Student Union and the Student Veterans Association. Jones also is in the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC).
