{"id":74739,"date":"2021-11-23T09:43:18","date_gmt":"2021-11-23T06:43:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.co.ke\/business\/?p=74739"},"modified":"2021-11-23T09:44:43","modified_gmt":"2021-11-23T06:44:43","slug":"tatu-city-appoints-stecol-to-complete-kijani-ridge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.co.ke\/business\/2021\/11\/tatu-city-appoints-stecol-to-complete-kijani-ridge\/","title":{"rendered":"Tatu city appoints Stecol to complete Kijani ridge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 23 &#8211; Tatu City has appointed global engineering and construction firm Stecol Corporation to complete the final phase of the infrastructure of Kijani Ridge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The eastern district of Kijani Ridge has 218 half- and quarter-acre fully serviced plots, starting from Sh 12.2 million.<\/p>\n<p>A third of the plots have already been purchased amid high demand for Kijani Ridge\u2019s world-class infrastructure and the surrounding amenities of Tatu City, which include schools, businesses, retail, and hundreds of acres of open space.<\/p>\n<p>The multi-million-shilling agreement with Stecol includes 6km of tarmacked roads, 6km of footpaths, a 5km underground stormwater conduit network and water supply pipeline, 2.7km of sewer lines, hundreds of streetlights, 12km of fibre optic cabling, and kilometers of 11kV medium voltage underground power lines. The infrastructure will be completed in 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to extend our partnership with Stecol Corporation to the final phase of Kijani Ridge,\u201d Samuel Gathukia, Head of Construction and Delivery at Tatu City said. \u201cStecol has demonstrated its capability of delivering world-class infrastructure across Tatu City for many years,\u201d Gathukia said, noting that Stecol had was currently finishing infrastructure in Kijani Ridge\u2019s Slope, Park, Meadows, and Lakeside neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>Tian Yisheng, Deputy Director, East Africa Region, Stecol Corporation, confirmed the company\u2019s commitment to Tatu City, where Stecol has also established its headquarters for East Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTatu City is more than a construction project for Stecol; it is also our home,\u201d Yisheng said. \u201cWe are honoured to play a key role in the achievement of Tatu City\u2019s vision of building a new city free from the congestion of Nairobi, with all the conveniences residents and businesses desire in a one location.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new Kijani Ridge infrastructure complements more than 9.5km of roads and 440 plots serviced with power, water, and waste in other areas of Kijani Ridge\u2019s 350 acres of development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 23 &#8211; Tatu City has appointed global engineering and construction firm Stecol Corporation to complete the final phase of the infrastructure of Kijani Ridge.
