{"id":66889,"date":"2020-06-09T14:53:12","date_gmt":"2020-06-09T11:53:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.co.ke\/business\/?p=66889"},"modified":"2020-06-09T14:53:24","modified_gmt":"2020-06-09T11:53:24","slug":"nse-launches-mobile-app-to-boost-investors-participation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.co.ke\/business\/2020\/06\/nse-launches-mobile-app-to-boost-investors-participation\/","title":{"rendered":"NSE Launches Mobile App to Boost Investors\u2019 Participation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 9 &#8211; The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), has launched a mobile app aimed at enhancing investors\u2019 participation in Kenya\u2019s capital market.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, NSE said the app is designed to provide market participants with convenient, faster, and real-time access to the Exchange\u2019s activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NSE added that the app features market snapshots, stock prices, market analytics, financial news and is a gateway to stockbroker apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, with the mobile app, users can create personalized watch lists to keep track of chosen securities, eliminating the need to access multiple information sources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NSE chairman Sam Kimani noted that the delivery of the NSE mobile app is consistent with NSE&#8217;s intent to offer uninterrupted services amid the current situation and Government directives put in place to mitigate the effects of the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Today, our country and the entire world is fighting a health crisis and there has been a need to put in place measures to support trading in the market while ensuring that we adhere to the health protocols as laid down by the Government. The NSE has undertaken strategic measures to ensure local and foreign investors have uninterrupted access to Capital Market services in Kenya.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Guided by this commitment, the NSE commissioned the upgrade of the NSE Mobile App to incorporate advanced features aimed at ensuring investors continue to access and invest in the stock market remotely through the application.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith the upgrade, the App will be a gateway to the Online Share Trading and Mobile Trading Apps offered by the various Trading Participants. First, the platform ensures convenience and accessibility to any investor with a mobile phone.
