first one that attracted 10 EU member states.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 12- Kenya has signed a Sh519 billion (4.5 billion Euros) agreement with the European Union that will go towards supporting the Big Four Agenda from 2018 &#8211; 2022.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich said\u00a0the support is in the form of concessional loans and grants with 19 EU states participating in this second phase of the joint co-operation strategy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEU has been a big development partner to Kenya and I want to assure that the support which will be in grants will be well used towards the realization of our government\u2019s Big Four Agenda,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Rotich added that the facility will also boost accountability and governance pillars, support sustainable infrastructure, job creation and build resilience against external weather factors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe support will be distributed to different ministries and sectors such us Devolution Ministry to ensure county government deliver their services effectively,\u201d Rotich added.<\/p>\n<p>The European Union Ambassador to Kenya Stefano Dejak assured that the EU will continue working together with Kenyan government and support development projects.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second phase of the cooperation project after the first one which was initiated from 2014 to 2018 and attracted 10 EU member states.<\/p>\n<p>This comes one week after The United Kingdom launched a Sh8 billion Sustainable Urban Economic Development Program that seeks to support
