NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 14 – 110 SME and commercial banking customers are on a 12-day business trip to China to expand trade opportunities and strengthen global partnerships.
The business mission, running from October 12 to 23, will take participants through Shanghai, Yiwu, and Guangzhou, including attendance at the 138th Canton Fair, one of the world’s largest trade exhibitions.
The trip will expose Kenyan entrepreneurs to global supply chains, new technologies, and international business practices.
NCBA Group Director of Retail Banking, Dennis Njau, said the initiative will help local businesses connect with Chinese manufacturers, suppliers, and investors.
“By facilitating this trip, we are enabling our customers to access global networks that will strengthen their enterprises and contribute to a stronger economy back home,” he said.
Participants drawn from key sectors – including manufacturing, construction, technology, agriculture, and real estate – will engage business associations, tour factories, and explore opportunities to diversify trade between Kenya and China.
