Seamless HR calls for tech adoption in workplaces

NAIROBI, Kenya, May 16 – Human resources and payment management software Seamless HR has said that the adoption of technologies such as AI is crucial to streamlining operations in organizations.

It gave an example of the banking sector as one of the sectors that needs the integration of AI for productivity optimization.

Seamless HR CEO Emmanuel Okeleji confirmed that the utilization of AI-powered solutions can streamline processes, enhance customer experiences, and drive operational efficiencies, all while mitigating risks and reducing costs.

He noted that it was time for Africa to be at the forefront of the migration to technology, adding that Kenya is well positioned as a leading tech hub on the continent.

”Historically in Africa, we export raw materials to the world. We have the potential to export technology. We are passionate about helping Africa optimize its resources to become more viable,” said Okeleji.

According to Okeleji, 40 percent of the world’s population will live in Africa by 2100, presenting a huge workforce that must be tapped for the continent’s economic leapfrog.

On her part, ICT Authority Senior Manager Mary Kerema noted that fintechs can leverage technology to onboard Kenyans to financial inclusion.

“The financial sector in Kenya such as capital markets and mobile money has really transformed financial inclusion. There is a need to scale this up to enhance productivity,” she said.

Seamless HR acknowledged that the successful implementation of AI within the banking sector hinges upon several critical factors, including data privacy, regulatory compliance, and ethical considerations.

As such, the company emphasizes the importance of establishing robust frameworks that prioritize transparency, accountability, and responsible AI governance.

AI is speedily penetrating an array of sectors in the country, with the banking sector not being spared as it navigates the complexities of a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
