Laxmanbhai picked to put up Tatu Central infrastructure

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 10 – Laxmanbhai Construction Limited, a building contractor in East Africa, has been appointed to construct infrastructure projects at Tatu Central, a new business and living district of Tatu City.

The construction firm, which was selected after a rigorous vetting process that took into consideration the corporation’s history of delivering urban developments in Africa, will now complete the first phase of infrastructure and public realm works.

Preston Mendenhall, the owner and developer of Tatu City, revealed yesterday that the project will involve the construction of a high-standard road with stormwater and potable water reticulation, a sewerage system, traffic interchange, parking, and electrical and ICT reticulation.

The project will also include an irrigation system and a green public plaza that will have a sculpture, a water fountain, a sitting area, and a signature mugumo tree featured in Tatu City’s logo.

“We are delighted to have Laxmanbhai on board. We believe their track record and commitment will ensure this landmark project’s success,” said Mendenhall.

According to Manji Kanji Raghwani, Managing Director (MD), Laxmanbhai Construction Limited, the company is committed to ensuring that Tatu City becomes a project of urban development.

“We are honoured to be entrusted with the infrastructure development of Tatu Central. With a history of seven decades of delivering exceptional projects, we are dedicated to ensuring that Tatu City’s business district becomes a symbol of excellence in construction and urban development.” stated the MD.

Laxmanbhai Construction Limited has 70 years of experience in construction and development.

The company has undertaken other signature construction projects, including The Hub Karen, Britam Tower, Sarit Centre (phase 3B), I&M Headquarters, Agha Khan University Centre, and West End Towers.
