EABL’s ‘Soiree’ boosts online-partying

NAIROBI Kenya, Feb 1 – Following the advent of the online-party planning platform dubbed “The Bar Soiree” by the East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL), there has been a rise in the number of customers hosting parties.

Demand has been high during holiday seasons as well as from clients needing bespoke and distinctive solutions.

EABL launched the platform in December 2022, to create one-of-a-kind experience for consumers.

According to Head of Media Features at EABL Waithera Kabiru, Bar Soiree is in line with EABL’s goal of impacting the community by creating an ecosystem where jobs are available, and consumers enjoy convenience.

“It is more than just a functional benefit: the Bar Soiree packages provide access to premium drinks, mixers, bar set up, mixologists, entertainers and more whilst also connecting consumers to vetted event planners to deliver the rest of the experience at the click of a button,” she said.

“Ever since Ke.thebar.com started a partnership with our distributors and retail customers in response to changing consumer behavior, we have noted that more consumers are hosting events, especially during the festive season requiring customized and personalized solutions. This new offering will take the hassle out of hosting.”

Waithera noted that customers holding events can visit the website and make a choice from pre-set packages or contact the customer service team for individualized assistance.

“Under the initiative, consumers hosting events can go to the website where they will be able to select from pre-set packages or engage the customer care team to get tailored solutions. The package will include event planners, DJs, saxophonists and mixologists,” she said.

The packages’ starting prices range between Ksh. 20,000 and Ksh. 500,000, depending on the value adds, which change based on how much money is spent and in addition to a variety of high-end drinks, there are value additions.
