Sarit shoppers win big in Christmas bonanza

NAIROBI, Kenya Feb 10-The Sarit Centre yesterday held a handover ceremony to gift four shoppers who took part in the Sarit Christmas magic promotion.

During the ceremony, the grand prize winner, Reena Desai, was awarded a Proton Saga worth Sh1.5million.

In second place was Wondimu Bekele who got Textbook Centre shopping vouchers worth Sh250,000.

Mansukhlal Shah came third walking away with Hotpoint home appliances and electronics worth Sh249,000 while Alfred Mugia, fourth place got a holiday bazaar with return tickets to Dubai worth Sh150,000.

“The last two years have been tough for all us, so we decided to do this campaign despite the Covid-19 pandemic to bring excitement into the mall and drive more footfall,” said Sarit Shah, CEO, Sarit Centre.

The Sarit Christmas Magic campaign was launched on December 1 2021 with the aim of spreading the Magic Of Christmas to all shoppers at Sarit.

For each receipt value of Sh3,000 or more, shoppers at any outlet in the mall were eligible for an entry into the draw.

As a result, the campaign had 24,286 entries, an increase of 40,170 customers into the mall.

Shah noted that the draw performed better than expected, and he was glad that they made the decision to do it.

During the whole campaign, shoppers who took part got to win daily giveaways, weekly and grand draws.

“The tenant mix that we have has allowed us to sustain ourselves despite the pandemic, so this campaign has been a combined effort from Sarit management team and all our tenants,” said said Keziah Owino, Head of Marketing, Sarit Centre.

“We also have a 360-degree approach where we don’t only offer what our tenants have, but we want shoppers to have a different shopping experience when they visit this mall.” she concluded.
