NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 15 – Kenya will on February 2022 host the annual Africa Digital Finance Summit (ADFS) which brings together governments, central banks among other experts in the financial, economic, technology, fintech, and blockchain industry.
The three-day event themed “The Future of Finance in Africa; our pathway to financial freedom” seeks to deliberate and forge a pathway towards the future of finance in Africa.
The inaugural summit was also held in Nairobi in February 2021.
Mary Njoki, organizer of the event said the leadership conference will provide an opportunity to reimagine African systems of production, financial services, and governance in order to position it as a hub for financial solutions.
“The ADFS will provide Africa with an opportunity to leapfrog the mistakes of the West by reimagining entire systems of production, financial services, and governance fueled by financial innovations & blockchain technologies thus positioning her as the continent where solutions in Finance will be implemented successfully.”
Njoki, who is also the CEO of Glass House PR said that the annual summit will also spearhead the conversations that will encourage African states to leverage digital and decentralized finance in their businesses and everyday transactions.
Among the key conversations that will feature in the summit include understanding blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies, Policies governing disruption in finance, and the introduction of central bank digital currencies in Africa.
