WYLDE International appoints Chris Odongo as the new CEO

NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 27- WYLDE International has picked Chris Odongo as the new Chief Executive Officer. Odongo takes over from the founder, Joram Mwinamo who has led the professional service firm for the last twelve years.

Speaking during the SNDBX one-year celebrations, ex-boss Joram Mwinamo assured stakeholders of a smooth transition adding that no one else could be better prepared to take on the role.

Mwinamo will remain on the WYLDE International Board and continue to head SNDBX, an offshoot of WYLDE International.

“I was one time the CEO of SNDBX and Wylde International Simultaneously, but it became quickly clear to the board and we that I couldn’t run both. So, we decided for me to move and focus on growing SNDBX since it was a big opportunity and needed a focused team to unlock growth,” said Mwinamo.

The move comes as SNDBX turned one year old.

The firm is a one shop stop SME hub with 25 experts in different fields under one roof.

“I am excited about the new global possibilities that SNDBX portends. We are talking to large brands, foundations, governments and multilateral agencies which see SNDBX as a unique solution to enterprise challenges especially in the emerging markets,” he added.

He revealed plans to set up a fund to support SMEs as well as setting up SNDBX in different countries.

On his part, the new Wylde International CEO, Chris Odongo is hopeful of taking the company to the next level.

“An aspect of winning a relay is passing on the button smoothly ensuring that it doesn’t drop and the transition between Joram and I has been well-curated to ensure that smoothness is achieved. We have a whole team working behind the scenes to ensure that the separation of the two organizations and the transition of leadership between the teams and the clients build confidence with all partners,” Odongo said.
