NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 17- The Kenya Airports Authority has migrated flight operations of 12 Airlines at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport’s Terminals 1B and 1C to Terminals 1A and 2 as it kicks off a 12-month renovation exercise

KAA through a statement said that the two terminals have now been closed to pave way for the project.

Airline operations moved to Terminal 1A and Terminal 2 include Lufthansa German Airlines, Qatar Airways, RwandAir, British Airways and Emirates.

“Other airlines that have been migrated include UNHAS, Egypt Air, Air Uganda, Air Arabia, Air Mozambique,” reads KAA statement.

KAA says the renovation exercise is aimed at improving the customer experience and enhance JKIA’s competitive edge as the preferred regional aviation hub.

The 12-month renovation project has been estimated to cost Sh963 million.

KAA has further advised passengers to check their flight status with their respective airline in order to minimize any inconvenience.
