Naivas Opens its 66th Branch at the Waterfront Mall in Karen

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 13 – Naivas Supermarkets has opened the doors of its newest Foodmarket outlet at the Waterfront Mall in Karen to the public.

The new store is the retailer’s 66 branch all of which are in Kenya. The branch will serve the upmarket residential area of Karen and surrounding neighborhoods.

The mall is located at the intersection of Lang’ata and Karen road. It stands on 50 acres of land and has a total of 200,000 square feet of retail space where Naivas occupies 3500m2 of its ground floor.

This is the first time Naivas is making an entry into the larger Karen area. The shopping experience promises to be world-class, something that has become synonymous with the brand. The store selection of fresh offering which is a key focus promises to satisfy the most sophisticated of palettes. Beyond the outlet, the overall customer experience is bound to be enhanced as the mall has also incorporated recreational activities catering to all age groups.

“The opening of the new Naivas branch at Waterfront mall is an important step towards realizing the retailer’s mission to serve Kenyans at every possible opportunity,” said Willy Kimani, Chief Commercial Officer, Naivas. He also added that the opening of this new branch is one of the many important milestones for the organization this year as it also celebrates thirty years in business.

Even in the reality of Covid-19 pandemic, the retailer has emerged as one of the faces of resilience as it has calculatedly continued its expansion plan. On August 15, 2020; the retailer opened its 65 branch, Naivas Mega City that is along the busy Kisumu-Nairobi Highway, expanding its footprint for the second time in Nyanza region.

The other outlets lined up for opening are food markets in Rongai and Hazina-Lifestyle in CBD which are expected to start operations before the end of this year 2020.
