DOHA, Qatar, Oct 18 – Qatar Airways has announced the addition of a weekly flight to its Mombasa route, increasing its second Kenyan destination to five flights a week. The new service to Mombasa, is part of the award-winning airline’s continued commitment to Africa.
Traveler’s considering visiting the beautiful coastal city of Mombasa will experience all the culture and heritage this city has to offer.
From UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Old Town and Fort Jesus, to vibrant spice markets downtown. For more recreational activates the options vary from Haller Park for animal lovers, Mombasa Marine National Park, and countless beaches to choose from.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “Qatar Airways is always delighted to see robust demand in any destination, especially with a recently launched destination like Mombasa. The increase in frequency will allow passengers to enjoy the wonders that this coastal city has to offer, and locals will have more opportunities to enjoy Qatar Airways’ extensive global network of more than 160 destinations. This increase allows for further growth, and strengthens the bonds between the State of Qatar and Kenya.”
Qatar Airways will operate its additional frequency to Mombasa with an Airbus A320 aircraft, which features 12 Business Class seats and 120 seats in Economy Class. Passengers will be able to enjoy the airline’s superior entertainment system offering a wide variety of entertainment options.
The airline will operate a total of 26 weekly flights between Doha and Kenya, including three daily flights between Doha and Nairobi, Kenya’s capital city. With the addition of this weekly flight to Mombasa that makes for a total of five weekly flights between Doha and Mombasa.
