Naivas Chairperson Simon Mukuha is dead

NAIROBI, Aug 27 – Naivas Supermarkets chairperson Simon Gashwe Mukuha is dead.

Mukuha passed on Monday afternoon at the Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi, where he was admitted since Friday when he suffered a stroke.

The supermarket chain’s Chief Operating Officer Willie Kimani confirmed the death, saying burial plans were already underway.

He described Mukuha’s death as a major loss to the family’s business but assured of its stability.

Mukuha’s wife is also admitted to hospital in a serious condition.
