Qatari Ambassador to Kenya calls on Dr. Kirubi to talk business

NAIROBI, Kenya Jun 18 – Qatari ambassador to Kenya Jabr Bin Ali Al Dosari has held talks with billionaire businessman Dr. Chris Kirubi, becoming the latest envoy to pay him a courtesy call at his Nairobi home.

The meeting held on Thursday mainly centered on a range of business issues and existing opportunities.

“I am happy to meet Dr. Kirubi. We have discussed issues on tourism, agriculture and Kenya’s business environment. Kenya and Qatar have a lot in common, great weather, beautiful beaches and it’s important that we work together,” the ambassador said.

On his part, Dr Kirubi said “His Excellency and I have a lot in common including our shared interest in Agriculture. Kenya is steadily working towards growing its agricultural sector which is very important for our economy and our people. We will continue to increase our productivity and exports for the benefit of both countries.”

Other envoys who have visited Dr Kirubi lately include Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Wu Peng and Isarael’s Noah Gal Gendler.

Dr Kirubi is a respected businessman in Kenya and across the region due to his influence investments in various sectors and is the single-biggest shareholder in Centum, which is considered as the most profitable investment firm at the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE).
